Valley Mountain Bikers and Hikers (VMBaH) is about to commence its annual membership drive, and Backcountry Bike and Ski wants to do something special to promote it. From December 2 through December 12, save 20% on any one item in the store (including bikes!) when you sign up for a VMBaH membership.
VMBaH is a trail advocacy non-profit group, based in Palmer. They work to promote the use and protection of non-motorized trails in the MatSu Valley. They also build new trails for the local hiking and biking community to enjoy. In the summer of 2014 alone, VMBaH built 4+ miles of new singletrack trail at Government Peak Rec Area, as well as the totally awesome Palmer Bike Park inside Matanuska River Park.
Becoming a VMBaH membership is a great way to support your local trails. The funds from the memberships go to cover their operational budget, purchase trails tools and supplies, maintain trails, and promote the use of trails in the community. VMBaH memberships start at $25/year.
Also, please join VMBaH on Friday, December 12 f0r their members’ Christmas party that will be hosted by Backcountry Bike and Ski in Palmer. There will be an open house, starting at noon, with live music, beer service, and other festivities beginning at 4:30PM. There will be live music from the Alaska Gypsies, beer provided by Arkose Brewery, a drawing for prizes, food, and great company! The party will go until 8:00PM.
We want to see you there!
