We will be opening on occational Monday's starting May 1st, 12-5pm (or so, if the open sign's on) until the end of July (or so).

Weekend Update with Backcountry Bike and Ski

We hope you had a great solstice and are enjoying the sunshine and blue skies. Tony and the Backcountry Team are on their way back from Whitehorse Canada after riding the 24 hours of Light MTB race. Results should be posted soon.

UPCOMING RACES:

Wednesday night Upper Potter Valley Hill Climb @ 7:00PM

Thursday night is another Pocket Full of Posies Series Women’s Road Race, Stage 3: Fort Rich @ 7:00PM

Friday night is the Pocket Full of Posies Banquet dinner @ 5:30PM, Guido’s Pizza

30-31st is the ABC 24 Mountainbike Race; noon-noon, 6-hour, 12-hour, or 24-hour race options at Kincaid Park in Anchorage

GROUP RIDES THIS WEEK:

MONDAY NIGHT OPEN GROUP MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDE – Meet at Gold Mint trail head at Hatcher Pass at 6:30PM ready to ride, rain or shine. it’s about 8 miles out and back with technical rock features, singletrack winding through willows, some drops, some mud, and maybe some beavers.

Thursday Night Women’s Rides

—> Roadies Meet in front of the shop, unless anyone has another fun option, at 6:30PM, ready to ride with helmets.

—> Women’s MTB Ride will meet at Matanuska Lake Trailhead off the Glenn Highway at 6:30PM, wear your helmet, bring some bug spray, we will go a little longer than last time, building more skills and riding more singletrack! All abilities welcome and encouraged, but please bring your mountain bike for the ride. Questions? Call the shop at 746-5018.
